P.I.T is an informal network of individuals and groups working and campaigning on pollution issues and the possible public health and environmental risks in Tasmania.

This network is striving to connect people working in their local areas on issues relating to chemicals and other pollutants in our air, soil and water.

P.I.T has started developing a statewide database of pollution issues and contaminated sites based on documented research and references to information in the public domain - which will allow review of historical connections and future research into toxic contaminants in the Tasmanian landscape.

The network will enable independent eco-toxicology data assessment, analysis and monitoring of contamination incidents.

SOURCE WATCH is the host of the P.I.T pollution information. This web site allows anyone to access information about pollution and contaminated site issues and also to upload infomration and alter content when new information becomes available.
